Santa Cristina is the ski resort in the middle of the Val Gardena and has ski connections as well as road links to both Ortisei and Selva. The town is also known as St. Christina in Gröden in German and Santa Crestina Gherdëina in the majority Ladin language. Hotels are clustered along, above and below the main valley running through Santa Cristina, with some located at a higher elevation in the Monte Pana area.
